Phantom 5.2 Rounded Conversion

A Tour Geometry Reimagined for Pure Performance

There is something unmistakable about a rounded Tour head.

It softens the silhouette.

It removes the factory edge.

It changes the way the putter sits, and the way it flows through the stroke.

In the past, we’ve executed rounded conversions inspired by the Phantom 9R, a preferred Tour-only shape that eventually made its way to retail.

The rounded geometry can be introduced to most Phantom style head shapes, and on the 5.2 it creates a completely different presence at address. The edges relax. The transitions feel more fluid. The head appears more compact and tour-refined.

It is subtle, until you set it down behind the ball.

The COG Flip Neck Conversion

This build features a COG Flip Neck conversion, a left-handed long plumber’s neck repositioned to intersect the head directly at the center of gravity.

This is not cosmetic.

This is structural.

By moving the neck to intersect the CG, the face naturally wants to sit square, perpendicular to the player’s body and aimed directly at target. The balance is center-biased, playing similar to many low or zero-torque style putters.

The result:

  • Reduced need for hand manipulation

  • Improved face stability through impact

  • Clears face, topline, & cavity for increased alignment visual

  • Allows for greater emphasis on hitting line/break and focus on speed control

The putter works with the player instead of against them. When geometry is correct, the stroke simplifies.

Pure Face Modification

This Phantom 5.2 also features our Pure Face modification.

No milling.

No grooves.

No dampening.

A true surface.

Without face milling to absorb energy, the feedback is immediate and uncompromising. Mishits are exposed. Pure strikes feel unmatched.

Think of it like a blade iron. A blade rewards precision. It demands it.

A Pure Face putter behaves the same way. When struck properly, the sensation is unmistakable. Direct energy transfer, increased responsiveness, and a level of connection that grooved faces simply cannot replicate.

Additionally:

  • No grooves to exaggerate side spin on mishits

  • Increased clarity in strike feedback

  • Clean, linear roll based purely on contact

For players who practice consistently and demand true feedback, there is nothing more revealing.

Visual Architecture: Candy Red Tour Details

Performance comes first. But confidence is amplified by visual clarity.

This build is adorned with full Candy Red detailing:

  • Circle T Tour-only sole weights

  • Candy red wing lines on the sole plate

  • Crown detail above the Phantom cavity

  • Cavity dots and top dots filled in red

  • Three planetary dots milled into the heel side of the face

Every red element is deliberate. Nothing is random. The color ties the entire build together with precision.

It is aggressively exciting.

Dual Alignment System

Alignment was placed as carefully as the geometry.

This build features:

  • Triple top dots (standard/stock)

  • Wide flange line alignment matching the width of the top dots

The wide flange line helps control heel-toe positioning and prevents unintended toe-up or heel-up setup tendencies.

When heel or toe lifts excessively, side spin is introduced.

When alignment is level, roll improves.

This system stabilizes that. It provides both primary and trailing alignment cues without visual clutter.

Anti-Glare Tour Finish & Micro-Brush Face

The entire head is finished in an Anti-Glare Tour Finish to reduce glare and maintain comfort in all lighting conditions, from bright sun to overcast days.

The Pure Face itself carries a micro-brushed grain that is semi-mirror in effect.

At address, the face reflects the grass upward, creating a subtle disappearing effect. From the player’s perspective, the face visually recedes, allowing focus to shift entirely to:

  • The alignment dots

  • The flange line

  • The intended start line

Deep face milling can sometimes create visual illusions, appearing slightly open or closed due to the shadowing effect of grooves.

This build eliminates that distraction.

What you see is square.

Built for the Player First

This Phantom 5.2 Rounded Conversion is not a cosmetic experiment.

This full build is performance-driven at its core:

  • Center-of-gravity neck geometry

  • Pure strike feedback

  • Controlled alignment architecture

  • Glare-reduced surface finish

The cosmetics elevate it.

The engineering defines it.

A Tour silhouette, centered balance, and a face that demands precision. This is a player’s build, first and foremost. And everything else follows.
