Craftsmanship wasn’t something Rush Kane discovered. It was the language he was raised in.

His grandfather founded the Ruby Violet Mine, the world’s only known source of gem-quality red beryl. His mother spent her career cutting rare gemstones, transforming raw crystals into finished works of art through extraordinary patience and precision. On the other side of the family, his grandfather dedicated his life to Ford as a master mechanic, while his father built a respected legacy training and owning celebrated quarter horses, including Opie News Flash.

Long before Rush ever struck an arc, he would sketch and paint regularly. His eye for proportion, composition, light, and balance would later shape every piece of metal he touched.

At fourteen, a custom lowrider bike seen in a music video changed everything. Instead of asking where to buy one, he decided to build one.

​

That decision led him into a welding booth for the first time, and quietly set the course for the rest of his life.

For more than 20 years, Rush has pursued precision at the highest level. He earned recognition as Utah’s top aluminum welder through SkillsUSA before spending over a decade performing precision micro-TIG welding in a leading instrumentation company’s temperature calibration division. He later became lead welder and fabricator on Discovery Channel’s Diesel Brothers, helped develop a professional TIG welding machine that set the standard for low-amperage control in 2021, and designed professional welding PPE used around the world. He traveled nationally teaching advanced welding techniques alongside Lincoln Electric to students, colleges and technical training centers.

Within the industry, Rush became known as The Welding Robot. His speed and consistency seemed impossible, while his unique tungsten feeding technique became widely known as the Kane Grip.

Then golf entered unexpectedly. A single putter project revealed something Rush immediately recognized: building a world-class putter demanded the very same qualities he’d spent a lifetime refining – geometry, metallurgy, patience, balance, and feel.​

Today, every commission is hand crafted entirely by Rush Kane. Every contour, weld, and surface completed by his hands alone – creating putters that honor both performance and artistry.
