Anti-Glare Tour Finish
Designed for uncompromising performance and visual clarity on a sunny day. The Anti‑Glare Tour Finish delivers a refined, tour preferred surface that eliminates distraction at address. On stainless steel, this finish may be left raw, revealing the natural character of the metal with a clean, understated presence.
Characteristics:
Anti‑Glare Tour Finish reveals the true character of stainless steel while expertly diffusing surface shine. The result is a soft, satin pearl-like appearance that preserves every detail of the original putter design, from geometry and weld transitions to milling marks and stamping, with zero added coating or color.
Subtle tonal light-shifts and directional brush lines may naturally emerge, depending on the steel’s grain structure and milling pattern, adding dimension to the raw, industrial aesthetic. The finish is refined, modern, and performance-first, with a visual identity that feels confident, not flashy. This is similar to your common retail finish, with the additional Anti-Glare that is provided only for Pros.
Limitations:
This is a raw stainless steel finish. Free of oxide, pigment, or plating. While 303 and 304 stainless grades offer excellent corrosion resistance, minor scuffs or oil marks may develop with regular play, becoming part of the metal’s lived-in character.
This finish is not suitable for carbon steel, which requires protective treatment. Players seeking a darker tone, subtle oxidation, or enhanced patina may opt for an upgraded natural oxide hand finish.

Traditional Japaneses Brown – Carbon Steel
Steeped in classic craftsmanship, the Traditional Japanese Brown finish evokes timeless elegance with rich, earthy warmth. Hand-applied over carbon steel, this finish produces a deep, vintage patina, showcasing the natural essence of the metal with subtle luster and heritage-inspired tone. Ideal for collectors who appreciate traditional aesthetics with modern precision that preserves your putter without heavy corrosion.
Characteristics:
Traditional Japanese Brown presents a rich, warm brown coloration with natural tonal variation throughout the head. The finish often reveals soft highlights along edges, mill lines, and stamped areas, creating dimension without gloss. Texture remains smooth to the touch, with a subdued satin luster that absorbs light rather than reflecting it.
Over time, the finish may deepen and mature with use, developing a personal patina unique to the player. This evolution is part of its charm, giving the putter a lived-in, story-driven appearance that grows more characterful with age.
Limitations:
As an oxide finish applied to carbon steel, Traditional Japanese Brown requires routine care. Occasional oiling is recommended to maintain protection against moisture and prevent corrosion. Prolonged exposure to humidity, water, or neglect may accelerate surface oxidation beyond the intended patina.
Care: We recommend a light mineral oil application with a microfiber cloth every 40-80 hours of on course use.
Starting at $350

Forged Black – Stainless Steel
An oxide transformation that mimics the richness of hot forged steel, yet is engineered exclusively for stainless steel. This stealthy graphite-toned finish forms a sleek layer of magnetite (Fe₃O₄) through a hand-applied chemical process, converting the surface for a dark-luxe aesthetic that evolves with light, texture, and weld character. Each Forged Black mod is entirely 1-of-1, shaped by the unique grain and elemental composition of the stainless steel beneath. No two are ever alike. Elemental, tonal, and fiercely refined. Forged Black is a collector’s favorite.
Characteristics:
Forged Black offers a sleek, industrial aesthetic with a range of surface expressions, from satin-smooth to lightly scaled. The resulting finish may display natural striations, weld halos, or burnished high points depending on the original grain structure and geometry of the putter head. Color tones typically range from charcoal to gunmetal, with slight variations in luster and depth based on how the light hits different angles. This finish is a top choice for players who appreciate the raw, authentic story told through metal and oxidation.
Limitations:
The final appearance of Forged Black is highly dependent on the quality and composition of the base stainless steel. Higher-quality 303 or 304 stainless typically results in a more even tone and smoother surface, while lower-grade or inconsistently machined stainless steel may produce etching, mottling, or tonal shifts. Stamping removals, weld blending, and filler transitions can reveal slight color variances. As with all oxide-based finishes, subtle evolution and wear over time is expected and part of the character of this finish.
Care: Oiling is not required, but can be done as preventative care and may extend oxide preservation. Stainless steel is naturally corrosion-resistant and won’t rust under normal conditions. To preserve the finish, avoid heavy abrasion and wipe down the putter after play. Course moisture, fertilizers, and chemicals left on the surface can etch or alter the tone over time.
Starting at $350

Aged Bronze Patina – Stainless Steel
Where stainless steel meets old-world artistry.
This luxurious, hand-applied finish emulates the rich character of vintage copper-aged putters without sacrificing the performance integrity of stainless. Through a multi-stage surface conversion process, we manipulate the outer structure of the metal to accept a deeply dimensional patina: one that mimics timeworn brilliance, controlled oxidation, and layered alloy glow.
Every curve is intentionally modeled, aged, and toned using precise hand control, allowing the underlying structure of the stainless to breathe through in places, revealing transparent warmth and subtle, natural marbling.
Characteristics:
Warm-toned, subtly iridescent bronze surface with a low-sheen, aged appearance. Each finish is one-of-one, marked by hand-layered depth, tonal shifts, and natural transitions. The stainless core maintains full corrosion resistance while showcasing a high-art, vintage-inspired outer shell. Ideal for players and collectors who want a bold, conversation-starting look with the durability of modern metallurgy.
Limitations:
This is a cosmetic surface treatment, not a traditional coating, so wear patterns will evolve naturally over time. While the stainless core resists rust, the patina can shift or fade with frequent cleaning or abrasive contact. Not recommended for players who prefer pristine, uniform finishes. Intended for stainless steel builds only.

Chromatic Bronze – Stainless Steel
A signature statement in thermal artistry, Chromatic Bronze is our exclusive golden-bronze torch finish, crafted only on stainless steel. This torched transformation yields warm metallic tones ranging from champagne gold to deep bronze, shifting with geometry, weld lines, and light. The surface plays with iridescence, offering subtle flashes of red and blue light overtones, like a living metal in motion.
Revealing the true soul of the steel beneath.
Reserved by many brands as a very elite “tour-only” finish, Chromatic Bronze is notoriously difficult to execute evenly, but it’s Rush Kane’s specialty.
Characteristics:
Flamed finish with golden-bronze gradients and subtle tone shifts from champagne to violet. Iridescent under direct light. Semi-gloss texture with directional striations. Finish is baked onto the steel, not coated. Tone may vary depending on lighting and putter shape.
Limitations:
Visual-only, no added protection against wear, moisture, or oxidation. Surface may dull or shift over time with handling or play. Not suitable for weld/stamp delete as it will show discoloration with the alloy differences.
Care: Do not oil. Oil will dull and remove the bending of light effect.

Tour Torch – Stainless Steel
Tour Torched is the art of fire, a true flame-finished stainless that captures the full spectrum of heat-altered brilliance. Each putter is torched by hand, releasing rich gradients of bronze, gold, violet, and deep petrol blue, all embedded onto the metal surface.
This finish is not painted or coated, it’s raw heat chemistry. The tones evolve depending on the torching sequence, geometry, and steel composition, meaning no two are ever alike. This is a heat signature of the exact temperature the stainless steel has reached when exposed to oxygen in the atmosphere. Rush Kane’s signature torching technique allows for an even, iridescent fade across the putter, helping frame the ball, a level of precision most never attempt.
Characteristics:
Flamed finish with multi-tone gradients ranging from amber and violet to deep oil-slick hues. Semi-gloss texture with light directional striations. Depth of tone may shift in different lighting. Finish is baked onto the steel, not coated.
Limitations:
Visual-only, offers no added protection against oxidation or wear. Surface can dull or darken over time with use and moisture exposure. Torch patterns and intensity will vary. Each piece is one-of-one. Not intended for uniform color matching. Not suitable for weld/stamp delete as it will show discoloration with the alloy differences.
Care: Do not oil, oil will dull and remove the bending of light effect. Stainless steel is naturally corrosion-resistant and won’t rust under normal conditions. To preserve the finish, avoid heavy abrasion and wipe down the putter after play. Course moisture, fertilizers, and chemicals left on the surface can etch or alter the tone over time.
Starting at $420

Acid Drip – Stainless Steel
A rebellious finish for collectors of chaos, grit, and soul. Acid Drip is a hand-applied surface treatment that chemically reacts with raw stainless, creating a marbled oxide veil that distorts and darkens just enough to expose the soul of the metal.
Each reaction is one-of-one, etched by acid, guided by touch. This finish leaves behind a ghosted, industrial patina with organic flow patterns that can’t be replicated.
Characteristics:
Darkened, marbled surface with semi-matte sheen and unpredictable oxide patterning. Some consider it a poisonous camo-like finish. Texture may vary from smooth to lightly etched. Designed to evolve with time, wear, and handling. Each piece is unrepeatable, every drip, one-of-one.
Limitations:
Cosmetic finish only, will shift and wear with regular play. Not recommended for those seeking uniformity or high-polish durability.
Care: Oiling is not required, but can be done as preventative care and may extend oxide preservation. To preserve the finish, avoid heavy abrasion and wipe down the putter after play. Course moisture, fertilizers, and chemicals left on the surface can etch or alter the tone over time.
Starting at $400

Classic Black Oxide – Carbon Steel
A timeless finish for purists of feel, function, and forged form. Classic Black Oxide is a chemical conversion that transforms the surface of raw carbon steel into a fine layer of iron oxide, deepening its tone, protecting its core, and honoring its legacy.
This rich blackened treatment is sealed in a light oil jacket that elevates luster, darkens dimension, and guards against early breakdown. It can be further wax sealed for a semi-gloss surface that binds and adds an additional layer of corrosion protection to the oxide surface layer. It’s the standard of Tour-grade classic putters for a reason.
Characteristics:
Sleek, uniform black finish with slight oil-sheen. Smooth to the touch, with subtle tone variation in mill marks and stamping.
Limitations:
Requires occasional oiling to prevent rust. Not suitable for stainless steel or high-chromium alloys. Long-term exposure to moisture without care may cause corrosion.
Care: We recommend a light mineral oil application with a microfiber cloth every 40-80 hours of on course use.
Starting at $350

Acid Bronze – Carbon & Stainless Steel
This emulates a true bronze finish for most metals, as an intensely organic oxide finish. The result is a deep, golden umber hue kissed with bronze and tarnished brass, producing overtones of blue and red shifts above the greenish bronze base tone.
Compatible with most metal types, the Acid Bronze finish adds an aged warmth and antique glow. It’s soft to the eye but rich with character, a finish that plays like art and ages like heirloom.
Characteristics:
Earthy tonal gradient ranging from gold to bronzed umber, often with soft matte or lightly sheened depth. Natural color variance across welds and textural edges. Surface patterns may appear reactive or layered due to alloy and acid interaction.
Limitations:
Coloration is non-uniform by nature. High-friction areas may dull or fade over time. Not recommended for players seeking a smooth or ultra-consistent tone.
Care: Oiling is not required, but can be done as preventative care and may extend oxide preservation. To preserve the finish, avoid heavy abrasion and wipe down the putter after play. Course moisture, fertilizers, and chemicals left on the surface can etch or alter the tone over time.
Starting at $350
PUTTER BASE METAL
Choosing the right finish begins with understanding your putter’s material. Each metal behaves differently, and your finish must be tailored to it for optimal performance, longevity, and aesthetics.
1. Carbon Steel (Soft Carbon)
Warm, responsive, and tour-preferred. Carbon steel offers a soft, glass-like feel that gives purists feedback on every strike.
-
Naturally magnetic (a simple magnet test can help confirm).
-
Will rust or patina over time if left unsealed or raw.
-
Must be protected with a high-grade oxide, plating, or oil can treatment to resist corrosion and preserve performance.
2. Stainless Steel (303 / 304L Grades)
Sleek, durable, and modern. Stainless steel is inherently corrosion-resistant and requires no sealing to maintain integrity.
-
Non-magnetic or only slightly magnetic (depending on exact alloy blend).
-
Does not naturally patina, but we offer finishes that emulate that worn-in look.
-
Can be left raw, oxidized, torched, or anti-glared to your desired tone and texture.
Ideal for: Forged Black, Petrol Oxide, Tour Satin / Anti-Glare, or Custom Torch Work.
3. Materials We Do Not Accept:
